Meet the Assessor

George Rooker, Jr., was born and reared in Nashville, graduating from Goodpasture Christian High School and from David Lipscomb University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.

He began his thirty-plus year career with the Assessor's Office as a college intern during summer vacation. After completing college, he began his full-time career with the Assessor's Office.

Assessor Rooker is a Certified Public Administrator, completing course work through the University of Tennessee Institute of Public Administration. He is an active member and former officer of the Middle Tennessee Assessors Association and the International Association of Assessing Officers.

George resides in Inglewood with his wife Jennifer, and has one son, Jonathan. He is a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church where he was a vestry member, and has worked on various charitable programs including Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Room in the Inn.


Jimmy Clary, TCA, presently serves as the Manager of Operations.

Jimmy has basically grown up in the Assessor's Office. He began his career in 1979 under his father's administration (Jim Ed Clary) as a field appraiser. Anyone who knows Jimmy will tell you he has a deep respect for the office, its employees and the citizens of Davidson County.

When Jimmy is not at work you will find him spending time with his family -- Janice, Trey, Josh and Jillian -- boating, fishing or hunting.
